10. Turkish Slippers

There’s
something magical about these crazy Turkish slippers. You can get them
in any imaginable color or pattern, plus they are really comfortable.
Why walk around in boring slippers when you could wear a pair of these!
9. Ashiato Flip-flops

Based
on traditional Japanese footwear, the Ashiato beach sandals come in
four sizes, five colors – pink, blue, yellow, orange, green – and five
different animal foot prints – monkey, cat, owl, gecko and dinosaur. The
fun flip-flops leave paw prints in the sand and can be easily purchased
online. If you’re interested, check out the official website for more

8. Keyboard Flip-Flops

The
number eight goes to the fabulous Kito Keyboard 2.0 flip-flops. They
are available in many colors and are mandatory for all computer nerds.
The Keyboard 2.0 thongs were successfully launched in January 2011 and
continue to sell very well.
The super technologically
advanced-looking shoes use “keys” to massage your soles. I guess you
could recycle an old keyboard and make your own flip-flops, but for some
reason I don’t think they would be quite as soft and comfortable as the
trendy Kito Keyboard 2.0 flip-flops.
7. Mop / Dust Slippers

Slippers
can be creepy, sexy, fun to wear but also practical. These dust
slippers seem to be very popular in the US since most of the online
reviews are positive.
According to the manufacturer, the fluffy
microfiber fingers that make up the soles catch hair, dirt and gather
dust bunnies. They are machine washable and should be used only on dry
floors (wood, vinyl, tile etc.) Did you try them out?
6. Tapistongs Carpet with Inbuilt Thongs

I
think most of you are fascinated by crazy ideas and when those
unconventional ideas transform into useful and practical products, the
interest grows. Tapistongs is an interesting example.
The stylish
carpet designed by Lise El Sayed comes with matching, inbuilt flip
flopd. Buy this amazing carpet and you will finally have enough
‘slippers’ for all your guests J
5. Double-Sides Slippers

“
Made
of a thin sheet of rubber with a slit in the middle, the Double-Sides
Slippers have been created to enable the user to wear the slippers from
both directions,”
claims Zhang
Xun and Li Cheng, the designers who won the 2008 Red Dot Award for
Design Concept with these slippers. The concept behind the futuristic
slippers is based on the Yin Yang philosophy.
The Double-Sides Slippers are made of flexible and soft material that provide comfort and stability.
4. Sexy (?) Boobie/Penis Slippers

Warm and comfy sexy slippers guaranteed to satisfy everyone… here’s a category that needs no further description!
3. Star Wars Slippers

Character-inspired
slippers are so cute! The Darth Vader, Master Yoda and Chewbacca
slippers are in my top preferences. Geek chic or what? Definitely a
must-have for Star Wars fans of all ages.
Homer Simpson slippers are also very popular. Slip your feet inside Homer’s mouth and enjoy the coziness.
Believe
it or not, Freud and his ideas have inspired many people, including
slipper designers. I don’t know what I love more: the Freudian slippers
or their original product description?

“
Sigmund
Freud understood the value of comfortable things. The most famous
example is that therapy couch of his. While all the other therapists in
town were using hard wooden stools and benches, people were lining up
outside Berggasse 19 to lie on Freud’s comfy chaise. We’ve taken our cue
from Freud in designing these fun and comfy Freudian Slippers. They’re
fuzzy and plush and look like the great master himself. As an extra
feature, each slipper has our patented built-in sock tongue! Spending a
relaxing Sunday morning in your Freudian Slippers is as satisfying as a
breakthrough therapy session – and considerably less expensive. The
Freudian Slippers are available in men’s and women’s sizes. They also
come in an attractive gift box and make a great gift for anyone in
therapy (or needing therapy) – which is pretty much everyone you know.” (Philosophersguild.com)
2. Slippers with LED Light

How
many of you share a bedroom with someone who keeps a small flashlight
and slippers near the bed? I don’t want to get too personal here, but I
understand you. Let’s buy a pair of Bright Feet slippers to help our
partners find their way through the dark.
These unique slippers
are both weight and light sensitive, so they light up only in the dark
while you’re wearing them. The LEDs easily illuminate an area 20 to 25
feet in front of you and four replaceable lithium-ion batteries power
the slippers.
1. Creepy Slippers: Baby & Rat Slippers

The
number one goes to some of the creepiest slippers I’ve ever seen. To
cut a long story short, you either love babies or hate them so much, you
feel the need to wear the Baby Doll Slippers (which apparently make a
very unusual moaning and crying noise while walking). Either way,
something went horribly wrong with you. Someone made these disturbing
slippers four years ago at Burning Man, an annual event held in the
Black Rock Desert.
The Rat Slippers, on the other hand, are less
disturbing but equally perplexing. Who ‘wouldn’t’ want to wake up in the
morning and see two ‘cute’ rats popping out from under the bed?
Bonus – Coming soon: 3G Slippers
Engineers
are working hard on 3G/Smart Slippers. Mobile companies came up with
the idea to incorporate a tracking chip into slippers. The
accelerometer’s role is to detect when the wearer has fallen over. It
immediately notifies relatives. Verizon and AT&T are testing the
waters. The 3G slippers cost around $100 and the plan is to offer the
service for about $26/month. It seems that mobile operators turn to
crazy ideas to squeeze more revenue from their customers.
